We had a wonderful morning at the park and pond with the ducks but I must never forget the day that Isabelle lodged a bracelet bead up her right nostril :-) oh boy- it was only a matter of time but I wasn't ready for it today. Lucky for me she has a good sense of blowing her nose so when I held her left nostril down she blew as hard as she could and the blue bead went flying across the backseat of the car. These are memories I don't ever want to forget :-)

When bugs are around...

If there is a bug in the air... Isabelle is guaranteed to catch it :(. As of today we have successfully caught 3 rounds of RSV. My baby got it AGAIN!! As well as bronchitis and an ear infection to top it off!!! Geez... She just had the virus in January too!!! Here is a picture of her sleeping soundly while wheezing to pieces!

Isabelle has this sweet obsession with horses and dogs. She loves her Daisy. We were in the front yard waiting for daddy to come home. While walking in the yard she heard daisy barking in the backyard so she ran over to the fence and put her eye on the hole. Soo cute!!! Everyday is an adventure with her!

We had a pretty relaxing weekend! Adan started volunteering at a horse ranch and so that left a few hours of mommy daughter time. We snuggled and played. Then went to get a burger with dada. Isabelle was cracking us up with her French fry eating skills. She is so funny. There is never a dull moment. I can't get over how big she looks here. My baby is turning into a big girl!

We are so excited that sweet pierce bradley lambard is here! Look at that face of an angel!!!

The weather is beautiful today! We just went and got some I heart yogurt! Yummy! Here is my little girl covered in chocolate frozen yogurt with "berry" on it as she says... She wanted nothing to do with the yummy white colored yogurt so mommy got to eat all of that while she covered herself in chocolate :) I'm feeling spring in the air! Yippee!

Easter 2010

Wow! It has come and gone like a whirlwind!

I can't believe that this was our 1st Easter as a "Family." We had such a wonderful day!

We spent the morning at church, where we were filled up with AMAZING worship and a powerful message!

THEN, we headed outside to fight the nasty humidity and took these pictures in our neighbors backyard!

And, had an easter egg hunt. Isabelle just wanted to "Shake, Shake, Shake" those eggs until everything came out of them! SO much fun!!!

Hope your Easter was as great as ours! And you had time to sit and reflect on Jesus' love for us!

I am so blessed to have such sweet, compassionate, amazing friends!!! One of these fabulous girls is Sandra, and her little bambino Rhodes is just THE cutest little boy!!! On Wednesday, Isabelle and her boyfriend had a "date" at the park. Of course, this was a chaparoned date, I don't see her daddy EVER letting her go on a real date, boys have "coodies" :-) Here are some super sweet pictures from the park.

Spring Break!!!

This week is Spring Break in our house and we are doing a lot of fun little crafts around the house. Our biggest chore is to start our garden. Isabelle LOVES carrots and potatos, so I thought I would attempt to be more domesticated and try to grown our own. Adan dug up the stump in the backyard where the garden will go, we tore up the ground, and bought some organic compost. So, here we go!!! I am also attempting to create our our compost pile for the soil, hope it doesn't get too nasty in there, but the nastier the better for garden, so I hear. :-) Here are some recent pictures of my little princess... she is sooo big and soooo much fun!!! Life from the Hyatt...

And Hyatt, yes, I do mean the hotel!! We are going on day 5 in our lovely "suite" aka home sweet home. We had over 3000 gallons of water pumped from under our house! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! That is enough water to fill a swimming pool! Needless to say... can't wait to get our water bill this month... NOT!!! They had to shut off our water and dry it all out to fix the "leak" that was the culprit issue... Isabelle has done rather well in our 300 sq house. She LOVES, and I mean LOVES talking to herself in the hallways where her voice echos down the hall. It is SOOOOOO cute!!! She thinks she is the funniest thing ever, and I must say that I agree with her :-) She is pretty stinking amazing! The ONLY upside to having this mouse house is the already prepared for us, breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is great for running out the door at 6:30... a warm bagel, muffin, or presliced fruit and juice. AND COFFEE!!! I mean, where else can you get that included with your daily regimen. Then they have this fabulous social hour in the evenings with soups, salad, and quick bites. That has been our dinner the last 2 nights ;-) Tonights menu consisted of pizza, nachos, and chocolate chip cookies. So nutritious, right???? But then again, where else can you pay $1000 a week to get free food... not paying a mortgage?? ha! Thank you Traveler's Insurance!!!

This morning we woke up Isabelle for her first, of many, Valentines' Days. We had a stuffed bear for her and mommy and daddy made her a card. We love you little girl. Every day is a Valentine's day with you in our lives.

Our family has a Valentine's rule that we wont spend money on each other, instead we will show each other how much we love each other with things we know the other really loves. So, for me, Adan gave me a warm oiled back rub... oh how I love those massages. And for him, to feed his sweet tooth, I made a bunch of homemade goodies, and Isabelle and I made him "10 reasons we love daddy" hearts with a reason on each heart and gave them to him throughout the day. Here is Isabelle's Valentine to all of her loves...

New Year= New Resolutions!!!

Everything is new this year! I love it all. I have made a list of resolutions for this year, so I'm guessing that if I put them on paper they may last longer than the possible couple of days that the other years have left me with! Does it mean that I have to keep them all year? Or just until I get tired of them (#1)? Or until I forget?

Maybe this post will keep me accountable, when I look back at our blog I will either be able to say "Check" or " Oh crap, did I really say that I was going to do that.... maybe next year " ha!

So here they go!

#1- Get back to my pre-pregnancy size. Yes, I did put that out there are resolution #1! So boring, yes I know, but I NEED to get back there. My hubs can not have that much smaller of a waist than me!

#2- Live on a budget! Adan and I both have wild hairs that run through us and sometimes they can cost us a pretty penny!

#3- Be the best mom and wife I can be. The wife thing I have done a little longer than the mom thing, I just want to make sure that this year I do everything I possibly can to help my angel blossom as best as she can.

#4- Be a better friend. Putting out more effort with some of the people that I don’t talk to on a regular basis that I still cherish and hold near and dear to my heart. Hopefully you’ll be hearing from me soon :-)

#5- Cook dinner atleast 4 nights out of the week! AHHH this one could haunt me!!!

Did I tell yall that I am soooo excited because Adan got a new job with "normal" working hours. As in, he will be home for DINNER!!! woo hooo and on the weekends!! Since our little angel has been born, he has had to work horindous hours, but he does it with such a great attitude because he knows how important it is for his future endevours and career track. He is such an amazing husband and dad and would do ANYTHING for us that we ever needed. He is great! There have been so many times when he is walking around like a zombie, yet he still participates in all of our family events when he is home! I couldn't ask for anything more.

On another note, can I just mention that Isabelle is getting so big! She is sitting up by herself and starting to teeth. I can see white under her gums and she attacks anything that will go into her mouth. I love watching her concentrate and then shake her head back and forth until he bites the tar out of it!! haha shes so animated! She blows raspberries ALL the time, and is such a happy girl! AHH!! I can't believe that she is almost half of a YEAR old! How time flies when you are having fun!

My good friend Sandra and her little boy Rhodes came over today for a playdate and lunch! Sandra worked with me last year in Irving and she stays home with her little one now so we always enjoy getting together to catch up! Here are some pictures of the kids playing together. Tis the Season!

We are so ecstatic that this is our First Christmas together with Isabelle! The LOVE of our lives. To me, this season has been more meaningful than any other that I have experienced in the last 26 years. I feel that this year I have a more profound sense of Christmas, thanks to becoming a mom myself. I hear the Christmas Carols and Holiday music on the radio and O Come All Ye Faithful brings goosebumps to my arms. The newest Christmas song that I am LOVING is Joseph's Lullaby by Mercy Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=he9BdHNrXTs Check it out here! I feel that sense of Mary's heart when she looked at her perfect angel sent to her from the Father. It brings tears to my eyes as I listen to it now. Looking into Isabelle's eyes just makes my heart skip a beat. I can't imagine giving birth to the Savior of the World! I feel like a million bucks knowing that I have Isabelle, I would feel so unequipped to carry the Son of God. All this to say, material Christmas presents have been put on a MAJOR backburner this year and we are celebrating in the birth of our Savior as we look at our little angel.

Wow! I am really behind on these posts. I have a couple to post today so hopefully I will somewhat catch up. This holiday season is so special to us having baby Isabelle. This year we spent it with Adan's family. His mom, brother, sister, His aunts and uncles, grandparents, and cousins. I think there was about 20 or so of us together. It was a great day of relaxation and giving thanks for so many things that God has given us. Here are a few pics of our Thanksgiving.

The past few months have FLOWN by. I am just soaking up every MOMENT and little thing that Isabelle does. I know that soon enough she is going to be doing something new and I never want to forget all the "little things" Like the fact that she still sleeps with us, that she needs me to fall asleep at night. That she loves bath time, her crazy hair, and that chuckle she gets when I walk in the door from work. I never knew how good life could be before she was born! Man how she has ROCKED our world for the better :-)

And those smiles are what makes every extra pound on my body ALL worth it! ha!

We are all smiles and coo's around the Flores house! Isabelle is such a happy baby!!! She smiles and talks to us all day long and we couldn't be happier!!! She loves playing on her activity mat and tells mama and dada to sing with her as it plays the music! AHHHHHHHHHH I could just eat her up!

Yesterday was her 2 month check up here are her stats!
Weight: 10 lbs 12oz
Height 21 3/4 in

We are on the charts at 50% for weight and 30% for height! We are so proud of our big eater!!!

Holy Moly... Reality is coming!

Well, my stay at home mother duties are soon coming to an end.. :-( I have been praying, praying, and praying some more as to what to do about work, but everything that looks like a possible avenue to stay home has quickly come to a dead end. I guess the Lord has something in store for me that I can't see yet, and it is hard, daily it gets me down, but I just have to be greatful that we are in a position to survive financially. Neither Adan nor I took our jobs based upon the income they would provide and now we are just seeing the future unfold. We both have a passion for helping people, children especially, and the Lord put that in our hearts for a reason. Now it is our challenge to help the reach the Lord and no matter how hard I fight to find a job that can allow me to stay home for this season of mine and Isabelle's life it just isn't going to happen. So Tuesday is the day that will be full of tears and heartbreak. I know that Isabelle will be in a good place and well taken care of but my heart yearns to stay home with her. Our family will continue to pray for the Lord's will and if possible an opportunity to stay here with her, but if that doesn't happen I pray for the peace to know that everything is happening for a good reason. How could you not want to stay with this amazingly precious little baby?!?

I have been having a heck of a time getting ready in the mornings #1 because I don't want to get out of bed #2 because I just want to hold Isabelle ALL THE TIME or atleast look at her constantly and #3 my hair takes FOREVER to get done. With all that said.. I chopped it off... 10 INCHES!! WOW.. I was really nervous about it making my already round face even rounder, but I don't even worry about it anymore because it is so much easier to get ready! Now I get to spend more time with little miss in the morning instead of being a slave to the CHI!!!

Man it is not fun to her miss cry when she is passing gas, poor thing can't figure out how to get it all out!! So, this is how Dad soothes her... she LOVES her carseat! I guess that is a good thing since we are on the go a lot! Here is Adan and her making circles around the house. Sometimes he will even open up the stroller and go for a walk inside. What a great dad!!! Anything to make her happy! What a daddy's girl she is too!!!

So, yes, I know love bug is 15 days old and I am just now showing these off. Well, technically, we recieved them in the mail the day we got back from the hospital with her. It took longer than normal to get them because of some health issues with the photographer. But they were worth the wait, plus, now I am kinda glad we didn't recieve them earlier because I realize how HUGE I was... but hey, its all for a good purpose, I wouldn't have it any other way but a healthy, amazing baby girl! Enjoy!!!

Well we have definately seen love bugs personality this week. She will smile (probably just due to gas :-)) but we like to think its because she recognizes us!!! She also lets us know when she is NOT happy with where she is or what she is doing. We have figured out that cry real quick. We aren't quite sure where she gets her little temper from but we are just praying for that sweet spirit to overpower it! ;-) She has also gotten so strong and picks her head up so well! We are such proud parents!

Yesterday we took her 2 week picture and also had her Newborn pictures taken and they are AMAZING!!! B4 photography is awesome! She is so patient and so creative with her ideas. I can't wait to see the final result.

This Tuesday we celebrated our love bug's one week birthday! I can't believe how much she is already changing and how her little personality shows everyday. She loves when Daddy sings to her and is all bundled up on his chest! What a special bond. I love seeing him love on her, what a wonderful Dad he is, I can't wait to see what the future holds.

We just got home from the hospital a couple of hours ago and I swear that as the seconds pass I love her more and more! It seems like just when you think you love EVERYTHING about her, you notice something else or it is just that much deeper! WE ARE ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE!! Adan and I could not be more blessed than what we are! God is so good! We are both so honored that God allowed us to be her parents, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life as her MOM!! She is snoozing now, so I better get in a quick shut eye, but when I wake I WILL put new pictures up of her! Promise :-)

Little Miss Isabelle will be here in less than one week... yes, that is right, we will see her beautiful face by next Tuesday! We are getting induced Monday night and are SO excited! Can't wait to share all of the pictures of her. Oh, just to imagine what she looks like is so much fun! I can't wait to kiss her little face!

We went to the doctor yesterday and we are almost 3 cm dialated and 30% effaced. That means nothing but good news for us! Isabelle is finally on her way! I feel like I have been pregnant for forever... not that I don't absolutely love it, because I do, but we can't wait to see her beautiful little face! God has richly blessed us and we can't wait to love on her and teach her all about how wonderful He has been to give her to us. Here are some final belly pics, to me I feel like I am going to pop! Ironically, on the same day, a lady at the grocery store told me that I don't look big enough to be delivering a baby and Adan's supervisor told him I look like I am having twins! So who really knows, but the feeling of the day is a beached whale!

The only downfall to having a summer baby is this humidity. I have been a fish since school got out and have been in a body of water every day! Between playdates with Cade, my Dad's house, and Lupe's house, I have been a swimming fool! Good thing all of these pools are in private places because let me tell you, I don't look very cute in a swim suit :-) Thats ok!!! I don't have any modesty about this belly anymore!! It is kind of hard to when it overtakes everything!

So this semester has been pretty busy, and I am not finally posting a new blog... and I promised to change my ways... yeah right!!!

School is going great! I have 22 lovely 5-year olds. Its a lot of work with out my right hand lady... Maria Maciel, but I am coping. I have heard a few updates from my kiddos that are now in 1st grade and they are growing up so fast!!!
We are absolutely loving our house and our dogs. Adan made our first fire last Thursday in the fireplace and he made us hot cocoa, which was delicious, and we spent the evening enjoying each others company! Oh the joys of married life!!!

By the way, today is Adan's brother, Javier's, 27th birthday and Adan and my 3 years down 100 more to go together anniversary! How exciting!!!

I am trying to make a new vow to update my blog on a regular basis... I haven't quite gotten into the swing of things with the updating. For goodness sakes, I haven't updated my facebook or myspace in centuries.

We can't even begin to describe how perfect of a wedding that we had. We both felt like we were in a movie, it was like a dream come true and surpassed our imagination. We can'te believe how fast it all went by and thank everyone for all their prayers and blessing on our wedding day. We felt so loved.

We also have finally just settled into our perfect little house for our future family. It is 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, amazing hardwood floors, great space, and amazing trees. We can't believe that it is ours. As soon as I am done painting I will fill yall in with the pictures.

Oh, and I am changing schools this year. I will be in Irving ISD. Adan still LOVES his job and I am so proud of what an amazing influence he is on the misdirected children in this area. He has such an awesome heart for them and really has such an amazing influence on their futures. I couldn't be prouder of him!

Its been a while....

How things have flown by since the last time I wrote. The days and weeks seem to fly by and I really don't even know where they have gone. Well, we are getting closer to the wedding, closer to Adan finding his career position, and closer to summer. So many exciting things are coming in the near future. We had a busy weekend this weekend despite Adan having a bacterial infection that kept him in the bed with a 103 degree fever... EEK!!! We purchased our wedding band, got fabric for the bridesmaid dresses, and spent some well needed TLC together. We also talked to our pastor at Fellowship Bible, where we have been attending for about 10 months or so, about having our legal wedding with him before we are off to Mexico for the big day! It is only 83 days away!!! It is going to go by so very fast!

83 days until the wedding and 42 days until school is out! Man! This year has flown by. I will post some pictures of my adorable class before too long... as soon as I figure out the blog thing.

School news.... I just have to throw out there that I have some amazing homeroom moms that come and help me out. One of this is the spunkiest person that I have EVER met... She is just amazing! She has 4 children, is a stay at home mom, in amazing shape, and exactly what I strive to be in the years coming! Anyway, she came to school last week and had a brilliant idea that our class should adopt their family guinea pig for a while to teach them responsiblity and allow them to care for and have fun with Cookie :-) This week has been crazy fun with Cookie! My kids are absolutely ENTROLLED with him. They do everything they can to get an opportunity to hold and play with him. Talk about some good incentives!!!!! Thanks Catherine for your amazing unselfishness and your great ideas that benefit us at school!!!

Addition to the Wedding Party

So, after much consideration... Melissa and Andrea are now bridesmaids in our wedding. I was truly torn to have all or none of my best friends in the wedding, but I hope that they all understand... Adan wanted to add his friend from childhood to the wedding, this was a hard decision to choose who I could add on my end of the wedding. Anyways, we are very excited and still continuing to countdown. 162 days!!! Hopefully I will be able to add some pictures on to here but I haven't yet gotten that far and don't quite know how to upload them. We shall see :-) Anywho, hope you enjoyed our quick update. Also, Adan has an interview with Home Depot this morning. We aren't sure if it is for the in-store or if it is going to different stores and setting up things ( on the corporate side) he applied to both so we will see which one it is for. Either way it can't hurt to have a little bit more of cash flow for the wedding!!!

First of the Year!!!

Well, this is our first posting. Which is very exciting :-) Adan doesn't seem to think so! HA! There is a lot going on in our lives these days. Adan just took his border patrol test last week and passed, so now he has a few more rigorous steps to go through to see if he makes it to the Academy. We are praying for the Lord's will for this. Also, as of today, 170 days until the wedding! How exciting! The big countdown in about to begin. We still have a bunch of small details to confirm but we can't wait until we are married and can start our family together. Well, I guess that is enough for now. I'm not really sure how this works, so we will see how often I get to doing this.
